Who we are
The National Association of Medical Spanish (NAMS) is an interdisciplinary group of highly qualified professionals in the field of Medicine and Language.
What we do
We are working together to improve health equity, patient safety, quality of care for Spanish-speaking patients, and physician communication skills.
Why we do it
Our goal is to create a standardized evidence-based approach to teaching medical Spanish as well as promoting and assessing bilingualism in medical providers in the United States. To achieve our objective, we joined forces in 5 main areas:
