TeamThe National Association of Medical Spanish is a group of professionals including educators, physicians, linguists, interpreters, translators and other highly qualified experts who have come together to share strategies and join efforts in improving Medical Spanish education. Since March 2018, they are working together to unify and standardize medical linguistic education for U.S. physicians, medical students, and beyond. All NAMS leaders and most NAMS members are multilingual, with most reporting advanced or higher proficiency in Spanish and English; many also use or study additional languages. NAMS is a non-for-profit association (designated as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS), and all Board Directors fulfill their board responsibilities on a volunteer basis.
